To help builders, contactors and specifies ensure that all commercial and public buildings satisfy the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Building Regulations Pt.M : 2004, Kee Safety Ltd has introduced a new series of galvanised cast iron components. The Building Regulations recommend an outside diameter tube size for such installations of between 40mm - 45mm. The new Kee Access series of Kee Klamp components is specifically designed to give a smooth handrail with size 7 tube (outside diameter 42.4mm) and is therefore compatible with the recommendations. The new Kee Access series incorporates a total of twelve new components and is supplied with versatility, ease and speed of installation in mind. Ideal for use in creating new structures, the series can also be used as a retro fit solution, because it includes Add-on offset component which allows a new handrail to be added onto an existing structure of appropriate size. When and where required, Kee Access can be easily augmented with components from the established Kee Klamp components series to create a complete, cost effective answer to DDA and Building Regulation requirements.
