Rope-Access methods for Structural Steelwork Installation and Debris Containment.
The Shard (also referred to as the Shard of Glass) is a skyscraper in London, which stands at 1,016 feet high, and was topped out on 30 March 2012, opening on 5 July 2012. The Shard is the tallest completed building in Europe, and is also the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom.
Working together with our client, High Access Solutions was able to offer a complete solution for the structural steelwork installation on the difficult to reach areas located at the very top of the structure. Due to the extreme height of the structure it was required to encapsulate the working areas with a debris net containment system to the Spire Fractures.
High Access Solutions Rope-Access teams were able to safely install the encapsulation utilising rope-access and fall-arrest methods even at this extreme height.
High Access Solutions offer a full design and installation service. Please contact us for all your work at height project requirements.
